I would like to extend a warm welcome to our school community, as well as future families, and our wider community members. I have been the proud Principal of Port Fairy Consolidated School (PFCS) since July 2021 and love what we achieve in the best interest of our students, families, and the broader Port Fairy Community.

Being a mother of three children myself, I understand the importance of selecting the ‘right fit’ school for your children. The wellbeing of all our students, staff, families, and community are at the forefront of all decisions made at PFCS. Education is a lifelong passion of mine, and I ensure I am kept up to date with all current initiatives and contemporary leading, learning and teaching research.

Staff, School Council Members, Parents and Friends Committee and the whole school parent/guardian body is included in our decision making and plans for the future. It is important that we walk hand in hand on this journey.

Port Fairy Consolidated School prides itself on our 5 star Resource Smart rating, our sustainability practices, the relationships we build and learning that is based on evidence-based research. We are a forward-thinking staff that ensure we provide a first-class education to our most precious resource, our children. Our classroom teaching is supplemented by the specialist programs, ARTS, PE, and Science. We are a committed Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden school.

We have three social media outlets that support our information sharing to our wider community and current families. Our website provides general information about our school and our direction for learning and teaching. We have a closed FaceBook page which is used to give up to date pictures and information about what is going on day to day in our school. We have an ‘open’ Facebook page which anyone can ‘like’ and participate in. We use the XUNO app as our information giving source, teacher communication through the messages section and consent for school activities are provided in this resource. Our weekly newsletters are also posted through XUNO.

If you would like to visit our school, I encourage you to book a tour and come and see for yourself what we are about. You will see our facilities, programmes being taught, and educational opportunities we offer.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

Warm regards,

Kate Anderson
